Yes, at any boutique. We test its purity with an XRF machine in front of you, deduct the weight of stones and non-gold parts, and value it at the day's rate for its tested purity. You can use that value towards new jewellery. Please bring your PAN card and a photo ID.
Each piece has a fixed price for each purity and size you can choose, shown on the product page. The price includes 3% GST, and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Hallmarking is the official certification of gold purity by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Every hallmarked piece carries three marks:
Install the free BIS CARE app, choose “Verify HUID” and enter the 6-digit code from your jewellery or invoice. The app shows the type of article, its purity and the hallmarking centre that tested it.

Karat tells you how much of the metal is pure gold, out of 24 parts. The BIS hallmark shows it as a grade, such as 22K916.
| Karat | Pure gold | BIS grade | Typical uses |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24KT | 99.9% | 24K999 | Gold coins and bars. Too soft for most jewellery. |
| 22KT | 91.6% | 22K916 | Traditional Indian jewellery: necklaces, bangles, jhumkas and mangalsutras. |
| 18KT | 75.0% | 18K750 | Diamond and gemstone jewellery. Hard enough to hold stones securely. |
| 14KT | 58.5% | 14K585 | Everyday and lightweight pieces. The most scratch-resistant of the four. |
Four qualities decide how a diamond looks and what it costs. They are listed on every diamond certificate.
How well the facets are shaped and angled to return light. A well-cut diamond sparkles more than a larger, poorly cut one. Round diamonds are graded from Excellent to Poor.
Graded from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). Diamonds in the G to J range look white to the eye and are popular in fine jewellery.
How free the stone is of tiny natural marks, from FL and IF through VVS, VS and SI to I. VS and most SI diamonds look clean without magnification.
Weight, not size: 1 carat is 200 milligrams. Prices rise noticeably at popular weights such as 0.50 and 1.00 carat.
22KT has more gold and a richer yellow colour. It's the traditional choice for bangles, necklaces and heirloom pieces. 18KT is harder, so it holds diamonds and gemstones more securely and stands up better to everyday wear. Most of our diamond jewellery is made in 18KT.
Yes. 916 means the metal is 91.6% pure gold, which is 22 parts gold out of 24. You'll see it in the hallmark as 22K916.
Both are gold alloys. Rose gold gets its pink tone from copper. White gold is alloyed with white metals and plated with rhodium for a bright finish. Rhodium wears gradually and can be re-plated at any boutique.
Check the laboratory name, the certificate number, the carat weight, and the colour and clarity grades. For solitaires, the certificate number is often laser-inscribed on the diamond's edge and should match the report.

Have a bangle that fits? Measure its inner diameter edge to edge and match it in the chart.
You can exchange it for another size within 15 days of delivery at no cost. After that, most plain and diamond rings can be resized by one or two sizes at a boutique; any extra gold is charged at the day's rate. Eternity bands and some designs can't be resized.
Borrow a ring they wear on the same finger and measure its inner diameter, then match it in the chart above. If you're unsure, go one size up: it's easier to make a ring smaller than larger. Size exchanges within 15 days are free.
Indian bangle sizes give the inner diameter in inches and sixteenths. 2.4 means 2 and 4/16 inches, about 57.2 mm. Each step (2.2, 2.4, 2.6 and so on) adds 1/8 inch, about 3.2 mm.
Soak gold and diamond pieces in warm water with a few drops of mild soap for 10–15 minutes. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush, especially behind stones, then rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
Avoid toothpaste, baking soda and harsh chemicals. Pearls, kundan and polki should only be wiped with a soft, dry cloth.
Keep each piece in its own pouch or a lined box so pieces don't scratch each other; diamonds can scratch gold and other stones. Fasten chains to stop them tangling, and keep silver in an airtight bag to slow tarnishing.
Remove it before swimming, cleaning with chemicals, exercising or heavy work. Put on perfume, hairspray and lotion first, and your jewellery last.
Bring your LAZELLE jewellery to any boutique for a complimentary clean and a check of prongs and clasps. Repairs, re-polishing and rhodium re-plating are quoted before any work begins.
